GPS Direction Brings GPS Back To Its Roots

Before GPS started to become ubiquitous and part of most every device out there, it was part of its own much simpler line of devices. The app known as GPS Direction, meanwhile, looks to bring that era back, but with some extra touches that will likely prove very welcome for users.

GPS Direction is set up to work with any iOS device running at least iOS 4.0 or later. While it doesn?t appear to be optimized for iPhone 5, it will at least work with it. This is a good thing, of course, as it has plenty to offer for being an extraordinarily simple app. GPS Direction offers users most of what would be expected from an app called GPS Direction, allowing users to establish a target point, and then get directions to that target point from their current location. Those using this app will have multiple display options, including a basic compass view that points the correct direction to travel and moves when they do, or on a route map, which shows users where they are relative to where their intended location is and all from the same map.

It?s not exactly a very complex app, which in this case works very well for it. It?s simple, yet it still gets the primary job done. The navigation seems to be working well enough that the primary purposes will be served, and setting up the navigation itself shouldn?t be too difficult. There do seem to be some issues with the overall mapping data, though those reports will likely vary according to each user?s particular location.? Still, for a free app, it?s far from terrible.

While being able to find your way around is useful in any small business repertoire?being late to a meeting never helps, and getting lost on the way to a meeting doesn?t make it any better?it?s far from the only thing that helps a small business keep up and running. Cloud-based telephony can be an important part of any business, and services like call control panels and intelligent routing are just part of a much larger mix that can put a lot of value into the standard operations.

GPS Direction may not be your navigation system of choice, but for those still looking for one, it may be just the thing to get you?and your small business?pointed in the right direction.
